Quaero countdown

The European search engine Quaero is about to be launched this January. What is considered the digital Airbus wants to make its place in the search engine industry led by Google and far away by Yahoo.

Loads of details of the project are maintained under secret few days after its go on air. But what we know about it could be summed up as follows:

• Germany and France under the project (Have a look at L'Agence de l'innovation industrielle and 2005 French-German ministerial meeting of Reims)
  

• Some private members of the project are Thomson, Deutsche Telekom, France Télécom, and Thales.

• High capabilities in multimedia searching

Meanwhile, Japan is also developing another search engine similar to Quaero.

In few days we will see what Quaero really gives to users.
